Is white pepper spicy as hell and I just don't know it? I followed Kenneth Temple's Jambalaya recipe on youtube twice. The first was to the exact measurements except cutting back on the cayenne powder because myself and especially my wife and 2 year old can't handle high heat. It still blew even me out of the water. Next time I cooked it with almost no cayenne at all and it was still spicy as hell. My suspect is the white pepper or I'm more wimpy than I thought. What are yalls thoughts?
