I was following the technique from this recipe: https://www.seriouseats.com/the-best-slow-cooked-italian-american-tomato-sauce-red-sauce-recipe In it, Kenji suggests putting the halved onion (as opposed to diced) into the sauce while you bake it, keeping the texture of the onion out of the finished sauce. So, now I have a baked onion that is steeped in delicious tomato sauce.. and I'm not sure what to do with it. There are so many ways forward I find myself struck with indecision. Do I blend it up? Slice it and fry it up crispy? Leave the halves whole and use them on a sandwich? Suggestions, please! submitted by /u/dolche93 [link] [comments]
