I cook often and break down whole chicken, mealprep and so on - my one knife to has been a Stallion chef knife from my ex that he gifted me, but the blade seems a bit too thick for its intended design? And the handle is heavier plastic - my point being the knife seems to try more for style points rather than function And my usual go-to knife is one from Ikea, with a wooden handle - great balance, thinner blade, better design - but the blade is so soft I find myself sharpening it every second day I use a bamboo wood cutting board but it's not one of those with the fibers pointing up, it's a cheap one, going sideways Every time I ask people about a better knife recommendation I just get laughed at😅 I just want one with a balanced design, that keeps the edge for at least a week or so and won't curse me when I just use a non-whetstone knife sharpener Do you guys have something you can recommend and that I can order online to Switzerland? submitted by /u/Mesapholis [link] [comments]
