"Cooking Up a Change: Can Rice Replace Orzo in a Popular Salmon Recipe? A popular Instagram recipe for 'Marry Me' salmon has caught the attention of home cooks, with many eager to try the dish at home. However, one cook is looking to make a crucial substitution, swapping the traditional orzo for rice. While this may seem like a simple switch, it can have a significant impact on the dish's texture and flavor. As the cook in question notes, using rice may require adjustments to the recipe, such as adding more chicken broth or increasing the cooking time to prevent the rice from becoming hard or undercooked. But has anyone else attempted this substitution, and what tips can they offer to ensure a successful 'Marry Me' salmon dish with a rice twist?"

hey all, I found this marry me salmon recipe on insta by daniela_dish and I want to follow it completely with one minor change. I want to use rice instead of orzo but I’m not sure if I’ll have to make any changes to the recipe to accommodate the different texture of rice. I’m assuming the change would be something along the lines of more chicken broth or longer cook time. I’m just wondering if anyone has done anything similar and has any advice to ensure the rice doesn’t come out hard or anything. Here the recipe submitted by /u/Kindly-Jump-356 [link] [comments]
