Hi all. I know this issue had been discussed a thousand times, but I’ve tried every solution I could find and nothing works. My rice always comes out clumpy (though not mushy).
Hi all. I know this issue had been discussed a thousand times, but I’ve tried every solution I could find and nothing works. My rice always comes out clumpy (though not mushy). I use this Aroma cooker: https://www.walmart.com/ip/1798241574?sid=DD413A7F-BB95-4A67-BBBD-193A69A6FF47 I’ve been cooking 2 cups of rice at a time for testing. I’ve tried Great Value medium grain, Harris Teeter long grain, and Dynasty Thai jasmine rice from my local Asian store. All of them give the same results. I’ve tried 1:2 rice to water, 1:1 rice to water, and every ratio in between. I’ve tried the finger method. I’ve tried adding oil when starting the cooker. I leave the cooker to work, don’t stir the rice at all until it’s finished. For the life of me I cannot cook rice with loose, separate grains. Any advice would be appreciated. Edit: totally forgot to mention I also wash it thoroughly, until the water runs clear. submitted by /u/SpankeyMank3y [link] [comments]
