Made a classic meatloaf tonight and realized people seem very divided on one thing: do you sauté the onions first or just mix them in raw? I cooked mine beforehand because I wanted them softer and a little sweeter, but now I’m wondering if raw onions actually give better flavor or texture once everything bakes together. The recipe also used panko, milk, eggs, and a ketchup-brown sugar glaze if that changes anything. Curious what everyone here does and why. submitted by /u/DailyBreads [link] [comments]
