I’ve had this butternut squash sitting on my counter for a while. Cut into it today and this is what it looks like. I’ve only ever had butternut squash a few times but I know the top (long neck) is supposed to be dense.

I’ve only ever had butternut squash a few times but I know the top (long neck) is supposed to be dense. This one looks spongy but it doesn’t smell weird and doesn’t have any mold.
