I bought a set for Vietnamese bánh căn(rice cakes) for 10 bucks and am figuring out how to use this. I think the material is clay/some form of earthenware, very dusty, and not sure if I can wash directly with soap and how to use overall. If someone could provide tips for this type of material or point me to a better subreddit for this question that would be greatly appreciated! Also, any tips for making bánh căn in general would be appreciated! I am not allowed to upload pictures, but it looks like this: https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcS7xLEOLeKpz6aufdGz5mZUFs8NzwzTwUGJZQ&s except that the small pot structures used to hold the batter are also made out of clay(in the picture it looks like it's made of metal) Thanks! submitted by /u/KennethLin521 [link] [comments]
