I’d love to be able to make our own tikka masala curry, but we are dairy free. I’ve found good recipes (normal and dairy free) but I’m not sure how to substitute the cream in the sauce. Some of the dairy free ones use coconut cream or cashew cream. Coconut cream is really expensive here, and I can’t eat cashews (nut allergy). I’ve been thinking of using a ‘plant based cream’ in place of the cream in the sauce, do you think this would work ok? Sorry if it’s a stupid question, but non of the dairy free recipes seem to suggest it.
