I would love to buy the $358 BESWOOD meat slicer but I just can't justify spending that much on a tool I'll use here and there. If anything, I may be convinced to buy the $229 VEVOR alternative. I've tried the manual slicers that resemble a paper cutter and they do cut the meat pretty thin but I'm limited to the size of the frozen meat it can cut as well as the arm has bent out of the shape after repeated use so my cuts are sometimes way off now. I'm looking at those $100 electric deli slicers on Amazon such as this $102 OSTBA Slicer and wondering if they have the power to cut through frozen meats and if they do it efficiently enough so I'm not spending 4 seconds cutting one slice. Does anyone have these $100-ish 200W slicers on Amazon and have experience using it on frozen meats for hot pot, shabu shabu, bulgogi, etc.? Is it worth it or better to spend some more money on the more expensive options? Thanks! submitted by /u/achenx75 [link] [comments]
